AIIMS 2013 MBBS Entrance Examination Pattern & marking Scheme

All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) conducts its own All India Entrance Test for MBBS admission that has been named this year as AIIMS 2013 MBBS Entrance examination which will be conducted in the month of June, 2013.

AIIMS 2013 MBBS Entrance Examination will be conducted for total time duration of 3 & ½ hours. The Entrance Examination competitive question paper will consist of a total of 200 questions which will be objective type (Multiple-choice & Reasoning-Assertion type).

The questions will comprise of the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and also of General Knowledge or Current affairs. Generally, the question Standard of the AIIMS 2013 MBBS Entrance Examination will be that of 10+2 Standard or Scheme / pattern.

Marking Scheme for AIIMS 2013 MBBS Entrance Examination

In AIIMS 2013 MBBS Entrance Examination, the candidates for each correct response / answer will be awarded one mark and for each incorrect response 1/3 (minus-one-third) will be deducted from the total that the appearing candidates will score. No credit will be given for the questions not answered. More than one response will be considering as wrong answer and will be awarded as negative mark.

Note: AIIMS 2013 MBBS question paper language will be both in Hindi and English. So, the appearing candidates can opt according to their suitability.

AIIMS 2013 MBBS Entrance Examination cut-off marks

The minimum cut off marks required for admission to MBBS program or course of AIIMS

For GENERAL Category: The candidate belonging to General category will be required to have 50% minimum cutoff marks in the MBBS Entrance Examination of AIIMS.

For OBC: Candidates belonging to OBC category will be required to have 45% minimum cutoff marks of AIIMS.

For SC/ST: Candidates belonging to SC/ST will have to ensure 40% as minimum marks in the MBBS Entrance Examination.

For OPH candidates: will be required to secure a minimum of 50% marks in case of General Category candidates, 45% for OBC & 40% for SC/ST

Note: The same rule will be applied for the six new AIIMS like Institute also.

Result of AIIMS 2013 MBBS Entrance Examination

The result of AIIMS 2013 MBBS will be out after the end of its Entrance Examination i.e. in the month of 2nd week of July, 2013.
